As long as it goes to refund I am referred to terms of use which basically is a contract. It says free trial - no contract - no activation fee. Even though I don't know where he took from 100 pages allocated to me, my plan of free trial and later $11.75 p/m gave me 550 pages send/receive, after free trial 550 send/receive any time within 30 days. I only sent 24 international, he does not even know if I will use all 100 for international or not, local US and Canada have no fees. I demanded to cancel my account and give refund, which he refused saying the charge is for 100 pages international. Nothing saying that international fax is not covered by free trial. Terms of service referred to paid subscription, not free trial. I located that info myself, $0.10 p/p to France. His explanation was that since I am sending international fax I am charged $10 for 100 pages allocated to me for that month, he could not even give me a breakdown how much I was charged per page. Second just said hi, and I ended up talking to third agent named David. First one said I am on multiple chats and will respond as soon as I can, and disconnected without helping me. From first attempt to send fax I was charged $10, I thought it was for activation, but as it turns out it was for international fax not even knowing yet how many pages I was going to send ($0.10 per page x 100) I was charged for 100 pages and no logical explanation from any agent why. I had not received the delivery confirmation in email yet, when my access was blocked. I was sending fax to France, had 2 unsuccessful and 1 successful try to send fax (total 24 pg). I purchased a free trial today for 14 days, no activation fee, sounded great, attractive and their platform is convenient. My free trial took only 2 hours after which I demanded to cancel my subscription. Unfortunately, changing a fax number is not an easy process for my business, but if this continues to happen, I will definitely have to change.ĭon't get tricked by Metrofax 14 day free trial, as it turns out it is not free and has hidden fees, you get charged for something you have not used and will not use (in my case charged for 100 pages against 24 sent). I have lost trust in this company in regards to billing, and will be monitoring my bill very closely every month. It is just too bad that as a customer needing this service I have to be worried about whether or not I will be taken advantage of. She then told me about a year subscription that I could purchase to prevent being charged a late fee monthly if the card is denied, or that I could call my bank and tell them this charge will be occurring monthly to prevent any denial. I asked her how we could be sure that this did not happen again, and she stated it is an issue that happens with some accounts. She could not tell me why the mistake occurred, but told me she would refund the late fee. We verified that they had my correct expiration date on file. I called MetroFax asking to speak with a manager, who I never reached because the lady continued to request that I speak with her about my issue. This is the same card they have had on file since I began service with them. Update: I called my bank asking if MetroFax had attempted to withdraw money on Dec 19th and Feb 19th and they stated MetroFax had attempted to withdraw the money, but the expiration date entered was incorrect therefore the payment was denied. I am so very disappointed with this company. I have had no problems with sending or receiving faxes therefore I am sad to cancel, but I will not be charged for late fees and taken advantage of. I most definitely will be calling tomorrow and will likely be cancelling business with MetroFax. The lady then stated she could not provide me that information and that I must call and talk with the manager during business hours. I again asked to be emailed proof where there was an attempt to bill my card and denial by the bank. I have had this same card for over 10 years, have plenty of money on the card, and have NEVER had a problem with using this card. Again, I called customer service stated this does not make sense. Two months later, I see another late fee for the same thing. The customer service rep then told me that he would refund the late fee. I called customer service and told him I wanted to see proof of where they attempted to charge my card and was denied by my bank. This did not make sense to me because I have my credit card to be automatically charged on the due date. I have been using MetroFax for about 6 months now, and in December I noticed they attempted to charge me a late fee.
